Encoding is one of the important functions in an ID card printer. ID cards are issued not only for visual identification but for storing some information. Field upgradable encoders for the three major encoding methods - magnetic stripe, contact IC, and contactless IC. The IDP SMART 31 card printer supplies all kinds of encoding options together with picture quality printing.
The UV Panel is an advanced form of panel for security that shows a fluorescence image with UV light. It is cost-effective and an easy way to protect against fake cards. To prevent counterfeiting, some ID cards include a UV watermark which is only visible under the UV light.
